NMB Bank has launched wechat pay service in Nepal. Through the partnership with China, WeChat Pay, has officially entered the Nepali market for the first time. This partnership has provided new opportunities for Chinese tourists, businessmen and visitors to do business through WeChat.
China Ambassador to Nepal Chen Song, Mayor of Pokhara Metropolitan City Dhanraj Acharya, Executive Director of Nepal Rastra Bank Guru Prasad Paudel, Chief Executive Officer of Nepal Tourism Board Dhananjay Regmi, Director of NMB Bank Yogendra Lal Pradhan, Chief Executive Officer of NMB Bank Sunil KC officially announced the WeChat Pay service. The chief guest of the opening ceremony, China's ambassador to Nepal, Chen Song, highlighted the feature of WeChat Pay, which makes it easy for local businessmen to do business through WeChat Pay QR code, and Nepal-China friendship. He also said that Chinese tourists visiting Nepal can now pay their expenses through WeChat and the money spent by Chinese tourists will be officially received by the relevant service provider vendors through the banking system.
Now, visitors can use their WeChat Pay digital wallet to conduct official transactions directly in Nepal through this NMB Bank, which has been approved by Nepal Rastra Bank to use the system without taking the same facility.
