PM Modi reacts to Viral Deepfake Video of merge Nepal for a united India

A video claiming that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants to merge countries including Nepal into a single India is going viral on various social media platforms. The 53-second video shows Prime Minister Modi speaking in Hindi, saying that India is on the side of Israel and that he also wants to make a single India.

Modi is also shown saying that he wants to merge Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka into India and make a single India. However, a fact-check by Tekpana Fact Check Desk has confirmed that this claim is false.

On March 3, 2026, at 4:17 pm, a Facebook page named ‘Janata Times’ posted a video. The caption of the video reads, “Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s objectionable statement, says – Nepal will become a single India without war.” The caption of the video reads, “Modi says with the victory of the NCP: Nepal will become a single India without war.” The text below reads, “Modi’s objectionable statement will include Nepal in an integrated India.” When the voice that Modi is seen speaking in the video is removed and translated into Nepali, it reads as follows-

“Someone asked me where India stands in the Iran war? Regarding India, no one should have any doubt that we stand on the side of Israel. The goal of Israel and India is the same - Israel has to become a ‘Greater Israel’ and India has to become an ‘Integrated India’. Only if terrorist states like Iran fall will India have a chance to defeat Pakistan. Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka will become an integrated India without war. Our main goal is Pakistan and this goal cannot become a reality without the destruction of Iran. Iran will have to face the consequences of its terrorism.”
