Kathmandu. An agreement has been reached between the Government of Nepal and the World Bank on concessional full loans for the implementation of programs under the education sector of Nepal. An agreement has been reached between the government and the World Bank with the International Development Organization (IDA) on a concessional loan of 120 million US dollars (15 billion 873 million 360 thousand rupees).

A grant agreement of 1 crore 97 million US dollars (2 billion 60 crore 58 lakh 76 thousand rupees) has been signed with the Global Partnership for Education for the operation of the Loan School Sector Transformation Program (SSTP). The MoU was signed by Finance Secretary Arjun Prasad Pokharel and World Bank Country Director for Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka Fasid Hadad Zevros.
