New Battery developed for Electric Vehicles with full charges only 10 minutes

The famous battery manufacturer CATL (Contemporary Amperex Technology Company Limited) has developed a new battery for electric vehicles. The company has introduced Shenxing Plus battery, which can drive the vehicle for 600 km after 10 minutes of charging.

Car companies use lithium iron phosphate for low-cost vehicles as batteries are cheaper and safer. CATL's Shensing Plus battery has new materials and special designs.

According to the company, self-developed 3D honeycomb has been applied to improve the energy density of the battery and to control the expansion of the charging and discharging volume.

In addition, the company has used the 'Cell to Body 3 Point O' technology that helps in space utilization, which is claimed to increase the capacity of the battery by seven percent.

Since Shensing Plus battery is a 4C (4C) battery, its charging capacity is said to be four times. Under this, a car can be driven 1 km in 1 second charge. It is said that a vehicle with such a battery can travel up to 1000 kilometers on a full charge. At present, CATL's Shansing battery can travel 400 kilometers after charging for 10 minutes. By further modifying this battery, the company has introduced Shensing Plus battery.
