Google is going to close the HTML view in Gmail forever. Google has informed about this by writing a blog on the support page. Along with this, from January 2024, users will not be able to run Gmail in HTML view. According to Google, users running HTML view will now be able to see a more modern and 'standard' view. With the retirement of the HTML view as Gmail's basic layout, the normal and old-fashioned email experience is going to end forever.
Now most Gmail users use the standard view instead of the HTML version. However, the HTML version has advantages such as fast loading, running on old devices, and can be used even where the internet is slow.
With the release of Gmail in 2004, Google also introduced HTML View. Google continues to phase out its old products and services. Earlier, the company had stopped services like Pixel Pass, Google Current, Nest Secure.
