Traffic fine can be paid through NagarikApp

For violating traffic rules, drivers can pay fines through Citizen App. The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office has implemented a system to issue 'e-challan' (digital chit) to drivers who violate traffic rules and pay the fine immediately through the citizen app.

It is believed that the hassle of paying fines for violating traffic rules will end now with the provision of 'digital payment' at the relevant place when the traffic police issues a ticket for violating the traffic rules.

After passing the 'trial' for the driver's license, there is no need for a license card. This has ended the problem of not printing the driving license. With the implementation of this system, drivers will no longer need to carry a driver's license and will be able to show the driver's license to the traffic police through the citizen app. There is a provision to show the QR code of the driver's license in the citizen app.

The traffic police will enter the action details by scanning the QR code displayed on the mobile phone of the driver who violates the road rules through the 'E-Challan' digital app. After that, in the traffic rule violation column in the citizen app, it is arranged to show the details of the 'digital chit' with the amount of the offense and the fine and the means of payment of the fine.
