The Computer Association Nepal Federation has opened applications for the 'National ICT Scholarship-2080', which has been providing technical education for the past four years.
It is known that the CAN Federation has been providing scholarships for poor, needy, students with the help of colleges that teach the study of information technology in the country. This scholarship has been started in collaboration with Lord Buddha Education Foundation, a college in Maiti Devi, Kathmandu, which has been teaching information technology for more than two decades. Through this scholarship, 49 students are going to be given partial and full scholarships this year.
In 'National ICT Scholarship-2080', one female student from each province will be given a full scholarship and the remaining 42 students will be given a partial scholarship so that students from all the seven provinces of the country will have equal opportunities. This work has been helping in the development of information technology even in rural areas and its accessibility to all citizens. 110 students are currently studying under this scholarship program which has been running for the past four years.
This year too, 28 female students will be awarded scholarships at the rate of four from each province under the Female Merit ICT Scholarship, while 21 students will be awarded at the rate of three students from each province under the ICT Merit Scholarship.
According to the agreement between CAN Federation and Lord Buddha Education Foundation College, 49 students will get a scholarship worth Rs. 283,000. The students who received the scholarship can study at the Lord Buddha Education Foundation in association with the Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation in Malaysia. S. c. Will get to study IT.
Students who have passed plus two or so from an educational institution recognized by the government of Nepal and have scored at least 50 percent marks in class 10 mathematics can apply for the scholarship.
