Driver's license Tax revenue can be paid online in Nepal

Electronic service with online revenue payment of driver's license has been launched from Pokhara, the capital of Gandaki province. The service was jointly launched by Physical Infrastructure Minister Prakash Jwala and Physical Infrastructure Development and Transport Minister Resham Bahadur Jugjali under the Government of Gandaki Province during a program held at the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport Singh Darbar.

This kind of online revenue payment service started from Pokhara in Gandaki province as a test will be started in all the seven provincial capitals of the country within a month.

Narayan Prasad Bhattarai, Director General of Transport Management Department, clarified that since six to seven thousand customers are applying for driver's license daily, they are going to provide relief to the customers by operating an electronic service system.

After the service is operational, the department has clarified that except for participating in biometric tests, written and practical tests, including medical services, all work including revenue payment can be done online. In Nepal, 33 lakh 60 thousand people got driver's license.
